NOTA:
Listen closely …
You are hearing only human voices, no drums, no guitars, no keys, no horns, no exceptions.
The members of Nota have devoted much of their lives to singing a capella. Their passion for this art form is clear when you watch them perform. They live to bring joy to others by sharing their love for singing and performance.
They were the opening act for Shakira’s US tour this fall, a great honor that left them humbled and overjoyed. They performed in front of hundreds of thousands of Shakira fans who sang along with them, got up and danced, and cheered for them with genuine enjoyment, a reaction that is rarely given to supporting acts.
Nota have been on a journey since the NBC show The Sing Off in 2009 where American audiences voted for them as winners of the series. Since then, they have astounded audiences across the country and in their homeland of Puerto Rico with performances that you have to see to believe.
They are thrilled to share this music with you from their debut album available in most US stores including Target and Walmart. It seems there is no genre, or sound that they cannot conquer with their 6 voices and 6 microphones.
Nota are true entertainers, reinventing this classic style of singing with their modern and exciting twists.
Simply Put
SIMPLY PUT is, simply put, an a cappella group. But what makes this ensemble different than most is that, less than one year from its inception, this group has created an entire original repertoire, performed huge live shows to standing ovations, recorded and released a full-length album, and been praised by critics and a cappella fanatics as “a diamond in the rough.” Singing everything from jazz standards to pop and rock, Simply Put infuses each of their songs with a uniquely simple, yet highly musical texture which supports soulful leads and celebrates both the power and simplicity of the human voice.
Individually, the six energetic vocalists that comprise Simply Put bring seasoned backgrounds to the group—spanning from NAACP and LA Ovation Award nominated musicals, to Disney and Universal Studios theme park shows in the U.S. and overseas, to backing and recording for commercial jingles, video games, and big name artists, including Barbra Streisand and Linda Eder. The combined performance credits of Simply Put’s members have seen them featured at the Staples Center, Disney Concert Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Shrine Auditorium, and Carnegie Hall. Simply Put’s singers include award-winning soloists, recording artists with their own solo albums, singers with the Long Beach Pops, performers on Celebrity Cruises across the globe, and competitors on NBC’s a cappella show, The Sing Off.
Most importantly, Simply Put brings vibrancy and positive spirit to every performance, and this energy is palpable in the audience. Not just a group of musicians, but a fun, raucous family, Simply Put brings love and antics into each of their shows.
